Terms of Sale

Daily Ring is free. Daily Ring Plus is an optional upgrade. These terms explain how Plus is sold, renewed, cancelled and refunded, and what happens if the app ever ends.

The short version

  • Daily Ring is free. Plus is optional, and buying it never takes anything away.
  • You pay through the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details.
  • Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time in your store settings.
  • If we ever discontinue the app, we will give you at least 90 days’ notice, stop all charges, and the app will keep working on your device.

Who we are

Daily Ring (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is developed and published by an independent developer. Questions about a purchase go through our contact form.

What Plus includes

Plus unlocks extra features on top of the free app. The upgrade screen in the app lists exactly what is included before you buy. Everything that is free stays free: buying Plus never takes anything away from the free app, and your habits, history, backup, export and account deletion are never behind Plus.

Plans

The price of each plan is shown in your local currency in the app before you buy, and may vary by country. A plan may come with a free trial; if it does, its length is shown before you start it.

Payment

Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), and their terms of sale apply alongside these. We never receive or store your payment details; we only learn whether your account has an active Plus purchase.

Renewal and cancellation

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. The renewal is charged to your store account within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can cancel at any time:

When you cancel, Plus stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app or your Daily Ring account does not cancel a subscription; only your store settings can.

Free trials

You are not charged during a free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it becomes a paid subscription at the price shown when you started it. Each store account can use a trial once.

Price changes

If we raise a subscription’s price, you will be told in advance through the App Store or Google Play, and the new price applies only from your next renewal. Where the store asks for your consent to the increase and you do not give it, your subscription ends at the end of the current period and you are never charged the new price.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies:

Nothing in these terms limits any right to a refund that you have under the consumer law where you live.

Restoring purchases

Plus belongs to your Apple ID or Google account, not to a device. On a new device, sign in with the same store account and tap Restore Purchases on the upgrade screen.

Lifetime purchases

A Lifetime purchase unlocks Plus for as long as we offer and support Daily Ring, with no further payments. It includes the Plus features available when you buy and any we add to Plus later. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not of a person; the next sections say what happens if Plus changes or the app ends.

Changes to Plus

We may add to Plus and improve it. We will not take a significant Plus feature away from people who have already paid for it without at least 30 days’ notice. If we do, subscribers can cancel before the change and ask for a refund for the unused part of their period.

If we discontinue Daily Ring

If we ever decide to stop offering Daily Ring, we will:

  1. Give notice: at least 90 days, in the app and on this website.
  2. Stop charging: new purchases end on the day we announce it, and no subscription renews after that. You keep Plus until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  3. Keep the app working on your device: your habits live on your phone, so the app, and the Plus features that run on your device, keep working after the shutdown with no further payment. Backup and sync between devices stop on the shutdown date.
  4. Let you take your data: you can export your full history as a CSV file at any time with Habits → Export data, and we will remind you before the shutdown date.
  5. Delete our copy: within 30 days of the shutdown date, we delete every account and all backed-up data from our server, as our privacy policy describes.
  6. Refund what we cut short: if the shutdown ends a subscription period you have paid for, you can ask for a refund of the unused part. If you bought Lifetime in the 12 months before we announce the shutdown, you can ask for a full refund.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we will update this page and its effective date. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
