In the app (fastest)
- Open Daily Ring and go to the Habits tab.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm with Delete.
This works on iPhone, iPad and Android, whether or not you added an email. You need to be online. The app then starts fresh with a new account and the example habits, with no history. To keep a copy of your history, use Habits → Export data first.
If you no longer have the app
Send us a request through the contact form, with Delete my account as the topic. Enter the email address you added to your Daily Ring account. We will email that address to confirm the request came from you, then delete the account and its data and let you know. This takes at most 30 days, and usually much less.
If you never added an email, your account is anonymous: it holds nothing that lets us tell it apart from anyone else’s, so we cannot find it from an email. Reinstalling the app gives you a new account rather than your old one. Unused anonymous accounts are deleted automatically after 30 days, or 30 days after the end of a break if you took one.
What is deleted
- Your account, including your email address and password, if you added them
- All your habits, with their names, icons, colours, targets and schedules
- Every check-off and your full history and streaks
- Your challenge
- Your breaks
- The copy of your Daily Ring Plus status, if you bought Plus
- The copy of all of the above stored on the device you delete from
What is kept
Nothing from your account. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and operations; these are not linked to your habits and expire on their own. If you were also signed in on another device, such as a second phone, its local copy stays on that device until you sign out there or remove the app. A paired Apple Watch or Wear OS watch replaces its copy the next time the app on your phone updates it.
Deleting your account does not cancel a Daily Ring Plus subscription. Cancel it in your Apple Account settings or in Google Play under Subscriptions. The store, and RevenueCat, which checks purchases for us, keep the record of what you bought, so you can restore it on a new account; ask us through the contact form if you want RevenueCat’s record deleted too.
See the privacy policy for more on what Daily Ring stores.
